Piper PA28 Cherokee 140 (RPN)
For those who would prefer a little bit more power and cockpit space than the Cessna 150, the Piper Cherokee is a cost-effective alternative. A popular training aircraft; the Cherokee boasts a stable, robust design with the benefit of a fifty gallon fuel capacity and a back seat for additional passenger(s) on cross-country flights. This particular aircraft has been upgraded with a 160hp engine.
This aircraft is well-equipped for IFR flights with an Aspen EFD1000 Primary Flight Display paired with a Garmin 430W GPS. These avionics and very similar ones are widely used in the aviation industry and are fully certified for IFR flights. They provide the capability to perform any procedure listed in the Canada Air Pilot and will provide skills directly transferrable to future commercial pilots.
